Christmas: a magic enchantment

Christmas is approaching. Once again glitzy lights bringing us back to those wonderful childhood emotions. I, even more than a child, feel my heart fill up with joy and expectations... that hope, that knowing that everything will be fine is so contagious, so exciting... Then, on the other side, well, yes, it's also a little bit melancholic and you fear that you will some how break the magic spell, because after all Christmases gone are lost forever, and who know what this one will bring.. Memories, both beautiful and sad, invade our minds: dinners with the family, laughter, tears, snow falling from the sky, the smell of pine trees and of hot chocolate... all like a fairytale enchantment. An enchantment of Christmas: there is no means to it, no aim... just the pure and simple Wonder of it. The roads are all lit up, a light heartedness fills the air and burdens are lifted. And our houses, they too enjoy this magic time: guardians of our naive fragility, they hold us safe in our little world of happy festivity, locking out of its doors that gloomy storm of cynicism bashing wildly on our window panes.
